The
treatment procedures followed in this institution are called as
Ayurvedeeya Pancha Karma or the five procedures of Ayurveda.
They include :
» Vamana{emesis},
» Virechana{purgation},
» Nasya{nasal medication},
» Vasti
{administration of medicines through
rectum} and
» Raktamokshana{blood
letting}.
Internal medicines are also prescribed according to the disease.
The treatments need a personal touch by the Vaidya since it also
helps in making the physician understand the condition of the disease
better. Therefore the treatments done at this institution are invariably
done with a personal touch of the physician. This serves in fostering
a parent-child relationship between the physician and the patient
which is quite essential for the successful curing of a disease. |
